In the centre of the popular growing bayside suburb of Mordialloc you will find a new development – The Verge which offers 44 premium townhouses across six blocks. With the area becoming increasingly popular with young families with the number of parks and playgrounds within walking distance, careful consideration has been given to both the building form and interior layout and design. The 3 and 4 bedroom family townhouses once completed and occupied will further enhance the Mordialloc community and creating the ideal location for the new residents.

Staged settlement has begun on the completed blocks, with final completion and full handover expected at the end of 2018. Following the completion of the 44 townhouses, we will see the construction of Stage 2 beginning in 2019 featuring a retirement complex. Completion of this stage, will create additional outdoor parkland spaces to complement the Doug Denyer Reserve and enhance resident’s daily life.

Inspiration for each building stems from the surroundings which are reflected in the materials used which signify the ground, landscape and sky. The spacious townhouses vary from approx. 220 to 270 sqm with high ceilings and premium finishes. Each residence features a private courtyard, first floor balcony and floor – to – ceiling windows which seamlessly integrate the outdoor space into the living area and allowing natural light to fill the space.

Careful consideration was given to the home acoustics to minimise outside noise with each townhouse being designed with a ‘reverse living’ design, with living areas located on the middle floor of the 3 level townhouses.

At CBG, we are very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve through a considered, tailored and respectful design to the existing context and residents without compromising the amenities to the new residents. This has been a collaborative effort between all parties involved and exemplifies how great working relationships, communication and understanding coupled with strong and thoughtful design can lead to successful projects.
