The Village

Combining sharp urban design with the fresh influence of its Bayside location, The Village in Cheltenham features a mixture of residential and commercial spaces on the corner of one of Melbourne’s busiest intersections.

Designed as two buildings separated by a large landscaped communal courtyard at podium level, the strong angular shape of the Village provides a compelling visual impact for people walking or driving by.

Each of the upper six levels have been designed to maximise natural daylight, experience, and provide security to residents. This has been achieved through expansive balconies and high performance glazing to these upper levels.

With frontage to such a busy intersection, proportion and strength of form were critical for the two-level commercial podium. Large expanses of tessellated, high performance glazing provide light into these showroom and office levels.
