Gorge Hotel

An award winning hotel design, Gorge Hotel will be a $50 million luxury hotel on Launceston’s picturesque riverfront, created to provide a timeless, high quality architectural development that will be a new tourist destination.

Drawing inspiration from the surrounding cliffs and waterfalls of Cataract Gorge, the hotel has been designed to amplify the area’s key features. Tessellated glass on the building’s facade give the appearance of flowing water during the day, whilst the lobby’s cliff feature wall ensures every aspect of the building has Launceston’s premier attraction at heart.

Deliberately thought out to ensure minimal visual impact on the surrounding neighbourhood, yet still feature large, spacious rooms, Gorge Hotel will have breathtaking views of Cataract Gorge, the Tamar River, the city and the mountains beyond.

The hotel will be 4.5 to 5 stars and boast 140 rooms, with the top floor reserved for five-star penthouse suites.
