Restoration and internal expansion, drawing on the traditional quality and aspects of the building. The brief was to maximise the potential of this building and converting it into a 4 bedroom home using traditional handcrafted techniques, materials and references throughout the 2 level home. Volume was expanded by extending library into the ceiling space to add a mezzanine level with hidden bedroom and en-suite.

Design focus and priority was to reuse old features in new ways without compromising on quality. Working closely with specialists across the field, restoration included hand forged metal spiral staircase, hand carved timber features, customised hard wood timber bookshelves, pressed metal ceiling feature, grand chandeliers, tailored hand crafted furniture and original timber floors.

Uniqueness has been achieved with the use of secret doors leading to hidden bedroom and secret wall compartments with hidden TVs and the reuse of old shower screen reposed into a door.
