We experienced market movement, uncertainty and a market correction over the last 12 to 18 months. Currently, we are seeing positive effects post the RBA’s interest rate cuts and the continuation of the coalition government. Even with all the movements, our projects continued. Construction was completed for a couple of our key projects with others starting or progressing into the next stages over the last 6 – 12 months.

Here’s an overview of some of our projects under construction:

Completion of The Village

The Village (Nepean Highway), combines sharp urban design with Bayside influences into the mix of residential and commercial spaces on the corner of one of Melbourne’s busiest intersections. After various iterations, over the project life, The Village was completed in 2018 with final settlement on the 170 apartments completed in early 2019.

With city and bay views, and elevated from the busy Nepean Highway corner, the stylish 1 and 2 bedroom apartments have been designed to maximise natural daylight, with either a private balcony or terrace fitted with high performance glazing to minimize noise and provide security to the residents. Versatile interior colour choices for the kitchen and bathroom, available in light and dark colour schemes provide residents with the freedom to match and tailor key features within their new home to their vision.

Completion of Derby Place

In collaboration with Crema Group and Fender Katsalidis, CBG have designed the recently completed interiors for Derby Place, Kew. Featuring 77 residences, interiors have been carefully considered, offering a range of premium 1, 2 and 3 bedroom, each contemporary in style and timeless elegancy throughout.

Interior arrangement offers open plan layout which extend living spaces and connect bedrooms to private, protected terraces to offer an authentic extension of the interior zone. Interior design references both architecture and the prestigious homes of Kew. Lines are elegant and distinct, uninterrupted and refreshingly confident. Incorporating a classic palette of natural finishes and organic textures that transform the modern residences into a sophisticated sanctuary with the use of lustrous bronze finish accents, strong timber tones and solid sections of natural stone.

Nava – St Aubins Ave

Designed to satisfy a need in the area of Caulfield North for residents to transition from single dwellings into apartment living whilst maintaining the amenities they currently enjoy.

The sophisticated and functional residences begin with an impressive entrance foyer, setting the tone as you enter the building. Featuring progressively considered fittings and finishes within the spacious inside and outdoor living spaces, all designed with a restrained colour palette.

Construction of the classical and contemporary residential development designed in perfect harmony with nature, began in August 2017 and is nearing completion

Pavilion Green – Bay Road

Pavilion Green is the epitome of luxury and convenience for the perfect relaxed bayside lifestyle of Sandringham.Inspired by its coastal location, the buildings design incorporates waves of curved linear bands that flow across the façade to create generous cantilevered balconies which embrace the views. A classic and contemporary design featuring a natural material palette of timber, concrete and glazing, with fresh whites and warming earthy tones.

A selection of residences that offer space and attentive design for every lifestyle. Open living zones and private retreats are given equal consideration, with design that delivers more light, more space and premium finishes and fittings. Design deliberately translates the features of a traditional house into the realm of modern apartment living basking in comfort and luxury.

Construction of Stage 1, the excavation and basement of the Eastern Building is complete, and construction is now moving into Stage 2. Camillo Builders have been appointed as the builders for the remainder of the work, with completion scheduled for late 2020.

Clifton House Edward Street

Restoration and renovation of an old corner store with Heritage listing is well underway.

The 2 storey, 3 bedroom dwelling named Clifton House, was originally built in 1890. It is currently being given a new lease of life with restoration of the exterior to its former glory, complimented with a modern and contemporary industrial interior. Designed for the purpose of becoming a unique BnB within its Brunswick location, the functional interior encompasses polished concrete, exposed bricks and low embodied energy fit out.

Transformation of this historical building is expected to be completed by Christmas 2019.

Sebastopol- Kooyong Rd

Sebastopol Residences, a boutique apartment complex on Kooyong Rd, designed for owner occupiers with a strong and bold design featuring 16 spacious two and three bedroom residences. Combining the grace of traditional craftsmanship with the ease of modern living, creating a sense of sophistication and quality.

The design philosophy has been guided by a desire to provide high standard and affordable residences within Caulfield that are of high architectural quality and merit. Coupled with the architectural intent to exhibit the best practices in apartment living and amenity, respecting neighbourhood privacy, with a further aspiration to incorporate these initiatives within a sensitive form which portrays a confident unified architectural presence.

Sebastopol Residences balance privacy and openness, complimented with a strong façade delivering refined textural detail, accentuated by a series of glass panels and deep recesses for individual balconies. The combination of stone, landscape and glazing creates an un-imposed building while providing comfort and privacy, whose finer detail highlights its sophisticated design.

Construction of these high quality residences is well underway, with excavation and structure completed. Final build is expected to be completed early 2020.
